In Memory of Winnifred Marjorie Nichol
August 16, 1922 - April 26, 2014
Passed peacefully away on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the North Haven Manor in Lewisporte, Winnie Nichol at the age of 91 years.
Winnie was born to the late Leonard and Clamentine Nichol of Indian Islands on August 16, 1922, the 2nd of 7 children. She married Ananias Nichol on December 14, 1938. At the time of her passing she had 107 descendants.
Predeceased by her husband Ananias; daughter Flora; grandchildren, Bruce and Keith Kinden; son in law Harold Kinden; daughter in law Shirley Nichol; brother, Donald Nichol, and sister, Barbara Bixby.
Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her 4 sons; Eric (Joan) Lewisporte; Melvin, Lewisporte; Wesley (Patsy) Grand Falls-Windsor; Cordell (Karen) Gander; 6 daughters, Jean (Gary Hanley) Back Bay; Frances, Stag Harbour; Alice (Claude Torraville) Fogo Island; Doris (Uriel Budden) Seldom; Daphne Sheppard, Lewisporte; Stella (Randolph Budden) Seldom; 30 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Ethel Reddick, Seldom; Mildred (Jack Rowe) Seldom; Blanche (Ray Butt) Lewisporte; Ruby (Martin Head) Comfort Cove; brother Lewis Nichol Lewisporte.
She also leaves behind a large circle of family and friends.
Resting at Families First Funeral Home, 9 Forward Drive, Lewisporte.
Visitation will take place on Saturday 7pm - 9pm, and Sunday from
the hours of 2pm - 4pm and 7pm - 9pm.
Funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Brian Brown, which will take place on Monday April 28, 2014 at 2pm from the Philadelphia Pentecostal Church in Lewisporte.
Interment to follow at the Philadelphia Pentecostal Cemetery.
Donations May be made in her memory to the Gideon’s.
