With broken hearts we announce the passing of Clifford Parsons. Our beloved husband and cherished father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away at the Health Sciences Centre, in St. John's on Thursday, October 9th after his 10th and final battle with cancer. Cliff retired from Wabush Mines in 2001. He is predeceased by his Dad (Clayton), Mom (Tryphena), Sisters Flossie and Frances, and Brother Seymour. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 49 years Madonna; daughters Michelle (Don) of St. John's, Debbie (Steve) of Labrador City, sons Dean of Dominican Republic, Jason (Corey) of Halifax.
Seven grandsons; Donnie (Maude), Colin (Kelli), Adam, Eric, William, Jake and Ben, one granddaughter, Christina (Jerry), Six great granddaughters; Julianna, Molly, Ryan, Morgan, Sydney and Addie. Also left to grieve are his brothers Claude and Bern (Joan) and sisters Ruby and Marion (Har), as well as many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart, and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Families Funeral Home on Saturday, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm and Sunday from 10am-11am. Funeral Service to take place on Sunday October 12th 2014 at St. Matthew’s United Church in Lewisporte at 1:00 pm, with interment to follow at St. Matthew’s United Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in his memory to St. Matthew’s United Church Cemetery fund.
