Freeman, Raymond, Bert, Sterling. We are sad your father has passed but very glad he has been called Home where he will be without any pain or suffering. There is no pain or suffering in Heaven. We have expected for some time his life here would soon be over, but it is still quite a blow when it happens. Our deepest sympathies to all the family. John was dear and treasured family friend who will never be forgotten. I will miss his many stories about different adventures when growing up and living on the Island. Our love Calvin and Lynn.

We were so sorry to hear of Mr. Twynes passing. A life well lived, a battle well fought on both the physicial and spiritual front. Foes all defeated. Victories won on all fronts. Saturday he crossed from time into eternity to give an account of his stewardship to his Commander in Chief. "I have fought a good fight, I have finished the course,I have kept the faith." Uncle John received a response from the Chief Justice of all creation, "Well done thou good and faithful servant: thou hath been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord. We are so deeply sorry to hear about your dad's passing even though we knew it was inevitable. We are spending the Christmas season in New Brunswick and are unable to be there at this time. But we will, like you, cherish the memories that we have of him; death cannot take that from us. There was a special place in my heart for John because he was so much like my father and as children and teenagers, your family and my family were very close. I have felt the hurt and the pain that you are feeling at this time because I have been there. When the last parent passes away it ends a chapter of your life as it does his.The last time Clyde and I visited him, he told us that he wanted to go "Home". God was so gracious and a few weeks later granted his request. W e know that now his joy is eternally sealed and there must have been a great reunion when he went "Home". We had mixed emotions when hearing Mr Twyne had passed, saddened to lose a friend and contender of the faith, yet excited to know he has finally finished the race and is now enjoying the fruits of his labour. We were connected well on both sides of our family, the Potters & the King/Keefe families and have many wonderful memories. We do not mourn as those without hope. So sorry to hear of the passing of your loved one. I met Mr Twine when one of my parishioners, Eldon Collins, was in the hospital with him. He had quite an impact on Eldon. Your dad encouraged Eldon, who gave his heart to the Lord while in the hospital, to pray for his pastor every day. I believe the prayers of your dad will live on in many people he has influenced.
