Obituary of Rev. Dr. Ross G. Perry

God’s amazing grace led Ross to his eternal home on Sunday, April 15, 2018.  Predeceased by his parents Grover and Evelyn Perry, sister Joyce (Budgell) and infant daughter Carolyn.

Ross was born and grew up in Campbellton, NL and married his high school sweetheart, Hazel Quinlan.  They were blessed with two children, Carla and Justin.

Ross graduated from Eastern Pentecostal Bible College in 1977.  He was ordained with the Pentecostal Assemblies of NL and he Pastored churches in Bunyan’s Cove, Laurenceton, Point Leamington, Labrador City, and Botwood. NL; as well as Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and Windsor, Ontario.

To further his studies he returned to University and graduated with a BA, MA and D.Min (Doctor of Ministry).  He was the author of two books, “Prime Ministers of Canada Quiz Book” and “Thundering Silence.”

After spending 17 years of ministry as Associate Pastor to Rev. Mark Hazzard in Windsor, Ontario, Ross retired in 2013, due to his illness with Parkinson’s.

Mourning with heavy hearts today are his wife Hazel, daughter Carla (Steve) Nicholas, and his son Justin;

Grandchildren:  Kayla, Ashley, Jackson, Foster and Madison;  Sisters:  Loretta (Eugene) Cooper, Louise (Clarence) Wells, and brother Ted (Peg) Perry; brother-in-law Ernest Budgell.  Also, a large number of extended family, special friends, former Parishioners and fellow Pastors.

Resting at Families Funeral Home, 9 Forward Drive, Lewisporte, NL.  Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 18^th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.  Funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 19^th at 2 pm from Philadelphia Pentecostal Tabernacle with Pastor Brian Brown officiating.  Interment will follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery in Campbellton, NL.
