Saddened to hear of your mom's/sister's passing as well as your Dad's just a few short months ago.Bob and Doris dropped by on Boxing Day and told us then.It's been many years since we last communicated Marilyn.In Joan's and Rosiland's case we did have occasion to see each other and chat over the years primarily because of our Little Bay Island's connection to the Weirs. The passing of a loved one is never easy to deal with regardless of circumstance,from age to prolonged illness and all things in-between.Both Melinda and I have lost our Dad's and Melinda her Mom,my mother Joyce being the only remaining parent at(94);we are so blessed in this case. Please be assured that even though time passes and people scatter in all directions,often without contact for years,and sometimes even a lifetime,memories of years growing up or being in school together,common heritage etc.all remain, and in this case apply to us. Even though you have never met or in some of your cases had only brief contact with my wife Melinda,she joins me in offering our heartfelt condolences at this difficult time. Also,may you perhaps find an extra degree of comfort in the following piece,entitled:LOVE HEALS,LOVE HOLDS,LOVE HOPES: Not sure what the divine plan is in all of this...and maybe it's not for us to know.But you can be sure of all the love surrounding you now,all the hope and support there is for you to take hold of as you are healing.
