Dear Goldie and Family:
We want to extend our condolences to you at this time. Many years ago Linda and I have very fond memories of our visit with you when we came to Newfoundland on a holiday, and you were both so gracious in welcoming us and hosting us overnight. The people of your congregations were also warm and welcoming, and fed us so well. It is a great testimony to your faith and ministry there. We also recall your later visit with us as a fond memory.
We pray that God will give you his comfort and peace at this time.
A friend of ours, a former member of our congregation in Beeton, Ont., Lorna Ellsworth (nee Hales) told us of Wally's passing. When we first met her, we were so amazed at the fact that Wally was known to her and her family as a former teacher of theirs. It is a small world!
We are retired now and living back in Elmvale once again, just north of Barrie as you perhaps remember.

So sorry to hear of Wallys passing...our thoughts and prayers are with you all...our son Johnathan was the first child he baptized and Johnathan was born the day before wallys birthday so they always remembered each other with a card and Wally always sent Johnathan a McDonalds certificate.
