Obituary of Edgar George Baker

Passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018 at North Haven Manor, Lewisporte, NL, Edgar G. Baker of Laurenceton at the age of 96 years.

He is predeceased by: wife, Eleanor; infant daughter; grandson, Philip Blake; his parents, Peter and May Baker; siblings, Dorman, Arthur, Ford, Hilda, Alice, Janet and Belle; also brothers and sisters-in-law.

Left to mourn his passing with lots of good memories are: his children, Pansy (Glenn) Purchase, Lily (Wilbert) Blake, Gary (Doris), Sharron (Randy) Hayward, Sandra (Brad) Tetford; grandchildren, Brad (Linda) Purchase, Mervin (Joanne) Blake, Barbara (Paul) Hutchings, David (Catherine) Baker, Robert (Beverley) Blake, Melanie (Danny) Rowsell, Tim (Keira) Baker, Renee (Adam) Brushett, Rebecca (Ryan Fudge) and Matthew (Samantha) Tetford; great grandchildren, Hayley, Hannah, Charlotte, Caleb, Grace, Gracie, Landon, Owen, Taylor, Adele, Weston, Luke, Nathaniel, Jacob and Amelia; siblings, Grace Tetford and Harold (Winnie) Baker; brothers and sisters-in-law and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Resting at Bethel Pentecostal Church, in Laurenceton, visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 8, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Pentecostal Church, Laurenceton, with interment to follow at Laurenceton Pentecostal Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations made in his memory to the Janeway Children's Hospital Foundation.
