To Andy and family: Sorry to hear of Verna’s passing. My prayers are with you at this time. It was a joy to be her Pastor for our 9 years in Twillingate and for the 6 years we Pastored Brown’s Arm, she was not only a parishioner but a good friend. To the family: I was so sorry to hear of Verna's passing. As a little girl, your home was like a second home to me, and I always loved your Mom's "Metric pies" I'm glad I got to see her & pray with her a few months ago at the hospital, and she was in such good spirits. Hold on to the memories, and remember that losing a loved one to Heaven, is really no loss at all. Just a time of waiting, for that beautiful reunion. To all family, I am so sorry to hear about your moms passing. She was such a good friend of my mom. I got to know her as well when I moved to Twillingate. She was always such a nice person with a heart of gold. But she’s better off now , I’d say her and mom is having a fine chat now like they used to. Heaven is rejoicing. I am so sorry to hear of Vernas passing. My heart is heavy. She was a kind woman with a beautiful soul. I had the pleasure of working for her with homecare. We had many laughs and she always had a smile on her face. She was like family to me and I will miss her laugh and her stories. God has called you home. You are not suffering any more Verna, You are loved and never will be forgotten. Rest in heaven darlin. To her family, my thoughts and prayers are with you in the coming days as they will be hard.
