Obituary of Alvina Gertrude Scott

It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Alvina Gertrude Scott announce her passing on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at North Haven Manor, in Lewisporte, at the age of 83 years.  She was predeceased by her husband Hardy, close friend Harold, daughters, Melinda Day and Maxine Best; and son Roger; brothers, Claude Wells  and Reginald Pilgrim; sisters, Sarah and Myrtle; grandchildren, Shawn and Christine.

She will be sadly missed by children: Malcolm (Judy), Elmo, Gerald (Netta) Scott, Randy (Caroline), Glennis (Bernard) Pelley, Colleen (Fred) Foss, Jamie (Angela); 27 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren; brother, Walter (Una) Wells; many nieces and nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Resting at Families Funeral Home in Lewisporte, with visitation to take place on Friday and Saturday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.

Funeral service will take place on Sunday, April 28, at 11am at Bethel Pentecostal Tabernacle in Little Burnt Bay, with Interment to follow at the Community Cemetery.

Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made in her memory to the Church Building Fund.
