Obituary of Joyce Loreen Bursey

The family of Joyce Loreen Bursey (Nee Foss) of Embree, sadly announce her passing on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the age of 85 years. She was born in Embree on March 27, 1935 daughter of the late Joseph and Maude Foss. Joyce was predeceased by her husband Enurchas, whom she served with by his side with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Newfoundland for 45 years, an active member in WM, Kids Club, CA’s and Sunday School. She loved the church and the Lord with all her heart. She will be sadly missed by her loving family. Children: Christeena (Robert) Saunders, Sandy, Norma (John) Isho, Darlene (Clayton) Stickland, Carl (Clarice), Eulah (Danny) Raike, Robert (Glenda), and Myrna (Wycliff) Goosney. Her special grandson Owen whom they raised for eight years. Grandchildren: Kurwin, Nikki, Shanoah, Shamiran, Tamara, Shane, Shelley, Sandi, Jonathan, Andrew, Damian, Devon, Jeffrey, Robin, Stephanie; 25 great grandchildren; siblings: Sandy (Glowena), Shirley (George) Walsh, Edith (Wilfred) Nippard; brothers in law Brooklyn (Edna), Eugene (Corella), and Ewen Boyd. As well as many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her siblings: Winnifred, Woodrow, Everett, Bert and Harold. Resting at Families Funeral Home in Lewisporte, on Friday from 2-pm.to 4-pm Funeral service will take place on Saturday, Sept. 19th at 2-pm from Glad Tidings Tabernacle in Embree, with interment to follow at the Community Cemetery in Embree. Covid-19 government restrictions apply. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Society.
