Obituary of Eileen Shanks

It is with great sadness that the family of Mrs. Eileen Shanks announce her passing at Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre in Twillingate at the age of 83 Years. Eileen was born at Cottles Island to the late Allan and Annie Rideout. Leaving to cherish her memory: five children James Shanks, Kathy(John) Hensgens, Dwayne (Andrea) Shanks, Annette Warren, and Tina (Gary) Sutton; precious grandchildren: Samantha and Shannon Shanks, Sarah, Lisa, and Jared Hensgens, Jared Rogers, Kevin and Leo Warren, Steven and Michael Travers; great-grandchildren: Cohen and Russell Travers; and Jordan and Jack Hensgens; sister in law Ruth Rideout; many nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Eileen was predeceased by her husband Patrick Shanks; brother Ford Rideout, sister Lucy (Jack) Whitehorne, daughter in law. Gail Curnew. Resting at Families Funeral Home Forward Drive in Lewisporte on Monday from 2-4pm. Funeral service will be held at Families Funeral Home on Tuesday November 24, 2020 at 11 AM with interment to follow at the Community Cemetery in Embree. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made in her memory to the Community Cemetery Fund in Embree.
