Obituary of Bert King

Passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander on Sunday, June 20th, 2021. Andrew Walter Bert King of Lewisporte aged 84 years. Predeceased by his parents Walter and Emma King; 6 siblings; sons Walter and Jody. Leaving to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 65 years, Mary; 9 children Julia Dawe (Leonard), Bill (Dale), Sheila Feltham (Ted), Maude Hoffe (Dennis), Rick, John, Betty Thorne (Fred), Peggy Hill (Sam), Brian; 29 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 2 sister in-laws Eliza King and Shirley Curlew; a large circle of nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Resting at Families Funeral Home, 9 Forward Drive Lewisporte, with visitation on Tuesday, June 22nd, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm for family and invited guest, following covid-19 restrictions. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 23rd, from the Salvation Army Citadel at 2 pm. Interment will follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Salvation Army Cemetery Fund, Lewisporte.
