Obituary of Kemper Moses Glasgow

Passed peacefully away at North Haven Manor in Lewisporte on June 20, 2021, at the age of 73 years. Kemper “Moses” Glasgow was born on November 21, 1947, in East Preston, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Predeceased by his parents: Ernest and Pearl (Taylor) Glasgow and by brothers, John, Ernest Jr, and Victor, nieces Collette and Sherry; nephews Vincent and Gary.
Leaving to cherish his memory: his sisters, Mable Etmanskie, Goldie, Sally Ann, Alanda, Margaret, Debbie and Phyllis; brothers, Newt, Stanfield and Deacon Frederick Brooks; nieces and nephews.
Moses worked at several food establishments, as a line cook in
different provinces. Also worked a few years at Service Master.
He enjoyed travelling and visiting the Casino in his spare time. He
was a joy to be around and loved to laugh. In Moses’ younger days he
was very particular about how he dressed and always looked sharp.
Moses loved to read his bible and as time went on and when he no
longer could read, he liked to have the bible read to him.
Moses spent the last 7 years in Newfoundland with his close friends he
cared deeply for.
The family would like to thank all the staff that cared for him at North Haven Manor. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 2-3pm.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, June 22nd,from Families Funeral Home. With interment to follow at the Community Cemetery in Embree.
