Obituary of Ruby Ethel Atkinson

Ruby Ethel (Hurdle) Atkinson passed peacefully away at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Centre, on Thursday, June 24th, 2021 at the age of 87 years. She was the daughter of the late Ambrose and Pearl Foss, in addition to her parents she was predeceased by her first husband Joseph Hurdle, her son Robert, brothers, Wallace, Jack and Scott. Leaving to cherish her memory: husband Tom; her children Sandra (Glenn) Sheppard, Wayne (Margaret), Joanne (Wayde) Pardy, Cathy (Dale) Rowe, Cindy (John) Osmond, and Chris (Stephanie); stepchildren, Donna (Dennis) Blake, Gary (Bonnie) Atkinson, Sandra (Gary) Moore, and Ted (Beryl); 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Hynes and Ella Mumby and brother Gerald (Bernice); nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at families Funeral home on Saturday from 2-5pm for family only. Funeral service will take place on Sunday at 11:00 am by invitation only with interment to follow at the Windsor United Cemetery in Grand Falls-Windsor. Donation may be made in her memory to the South and Central Health Foundation.
