Obituary of Doris Jeanette Porter

Doris Jeanette Porter passed peacefully away Sunday, August 15th, 2021, at Lakeside Homes in Gander at the age of 83 years. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph & Daisy Tetford, siblings: Flossie Baker, John Tetford, Sebly Tetford & Ruby Dawe. Leaving to cherish her memory is her husband Marshall Porter; children, Truman (Jean) Porter, Marie (Dean) Cassell, Karen (Barry) Rideout; beloved grandchildren, Chad (Simone) Porter, Carla Porter, Danica (John) Hutchings. Along with her great-grandchildren that she completely adored (Austin, Noah, Ryver, Ryker & James). And her siblings Edna Baker, Ralph (Olive) Tetford, Reginald (Ruth) Tetford, Elsie (Wilfred) Langdon, Sylvia Purchase, Stella (George) Tiller; as well as the extended family; Brown’s Arm Church family & a large circle of wonderful friends. Resting at Maranatha Pentecostal Church in Browns Arm, visitation will take place on Tuesday, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, August 18th at 2pm (invitation only) with internment to follow at the United Cemetery in Porterville. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Society.
