I grew up in Lewisporte and although Brian was 7 years older than me I remember him as a friendly, pleasant fellow.
Brian's dedication to his community was obvious. Lewisporte is a better place due to his extensive efforts over many years.

I was saddened to hear of Brian's passing. I worked in Lewisporte from 2011-2016 at Dietrac Technical Institute when the Marine Institute expanded its programming to Lewisporte. I had many meetings with Brian during my time in Lewisporte. He was very welcoming to me in the community and extremely supportive and proud of everything Lewisporte had to offer.
