Edward, I was so sad to hear about Edie's passing.
She was a special woman and you both always made me feel so welcome and loved every time I visited your house.
I am so sorry for your loss, and I wish I could be there to give you a hug. Just know that my prayers go out to you and the family, and I am thinking of you at this time.

To my childhood second dad..Edward, my childhood brothers,Alvin,Everett,Lorin, sister Vanessa and the rest of the Hart and Ginn family...Sorry to hear of moms passing, she was the best second mom anyone could ask for. I have many memories of your mom growing up as a kid,I wouldnt know where to start because I spent my time at your house during my childhood there are so many. If you guys got into mischief and got found out, If there was displine I got it too, because I was involved too, no matter what we did I was like a fourth son to her. I was so saddened to hear of Edith’s passing. I know she hasn’t had much quality of life in recent years. I was really pleased when I visited with my mom, whose room was next door to Edith’s. Upon entering my mom’s room, this lady was standing near by and she looked @ me & said , I know you, she said you are Phyllis Steele than I hugged her & we spend some time reminiscing about growing up together in Stonevillle , she remembered several things that day. I was so happy to see her & to connect with her after not seeing for over 50 years or more. I had opportunity to visit & share many times. .These are precious memories that I will cherish of my childhood friend & there are many more memories of our years as children growing up together in Stoneville.
Thinking of you Edward, & all of you her family & praying that the God of all comfort will bring peace to your hearts as you grieve her lost. Rest in peace my friend until we meet again!
