To the Boone Family
Today our hearts are sad as we grieve with the Boone family with the loss of their mom. Whether you met her for the first time or you knew her your whole life, she would treat you with love and a warm smile. Our family has counted it such a privilege to have been connected with Mrs. Boone and have seen the love and care she demonstrated to her family. If you could talk to her today I believe she would say, “ My passport was ready, I knew my destination, and now I have arrived.” Our hearts go out the the Boone family during this painful time of separation but we pray that the peace of God will surround you and that you would find comfort in knowing that she is with the Lord.

I am so grateful and blessed to have had such an amazing grandmother in Nan Boone. Nan was a pillar in our family and an amazing example of a true woman of God who lead her life with love for others. Nan was always there with open arms to give amazing hugs and the best cheek kisses. I always knew that she had such a great love for me and all of her family. I am thankful that my husband Brad and my children Peyton and Sadie had the opportunity to meet Nan as well. Her love for me grew and extended to my family and I know her prayers and her love were always with us. I remember stories of when I was little how I would run down to Nan’s house just to go for a visit and my mom would get the call that I had found my way to her house again! She was a safe place where I knew I was loved and could always run to. Even though distance separated us and made it harder to sneak away to see Nan I still always knew that she was still a safe place and I would always be loved and welcome with her. As a young girl when I was concentrating hard on doing something I would have my tongue out of the side of my mouth, just like Nan. I pray that I can be a woman like Nan was to her family and have more than just that trait in common with her. I pray I can love my family like she did and always be there, even if it is just through prayers and not in person for my family just like Nan was there for us. Nan was such a special person in our family and I am thankful also for her sense of humour and her quick wit. She could always bring a smile to my face. My fondest more recent memory of Nan was when she was able to come out and visit us shortly after my youngest Sadie was born. I remember her snuggling and rocking Sadie and just singing to her and how big Sadie would smile at Nan. Peyton got to join into the snuggles and singing as well and I loved how she was a source of love and joy for my girls in that moment as well. Nan would sing so sweetly to both my girls and they would snuggle in and just give her the biggest smiles. Nan touched so many lives through the amazing person that she is and although she will be greatly missed here I know she is full of joy and love in the arms of Jesus and with Pop! You are so greatly loved and have brought so much joy to my life and my families life. I will be forever grateful for you and how deeply you touched our lives. Love to the moon and back, Nan, and your love and legacy will never leave me. Love, Laura Lee

Nanny Boone,
What a wonderful Nan you were! Every moment I spent with you I knew that I was loved. There were so many kids, grandkids, and great grandkids, but you loved each of us for us. You never, ever compared me to anyone else, rather you told me whenever I saw you, “Loves ya!” and sometimes I’d get the “ooh, Loves ya. You’se so special and beautiful!” with a big hug! Those were the moments I knew you were really feeling what you were saying!
Your last visit here in Regina was so very special. You made me feel like my old 80’s home in need of some major renos was the most beautiful place you had stayed – maybe because my wood paneled basement and orange and red carpet reminded you of your home with Pop on Tamarack Drive! Maybe it was nostalgia, but either way, you made me feel great about hosting you here and I loved every moment of having you with us.
Alexis adored all of the snuggles with you, Matea was thrilled that you went in the doll box for some pictures at her birthday party, and Azriella said you gave the best hugs ever. And I loved your gentle nature and your quiet spirit and how you answered all my knitting questions and helped me with the parts I just couldn’t figure out.
You were an amazing Nan and I loved you so much. You will be missed, but I’m so happy you got your prayer answered to go in your sleep and to be in heaven rejoicing and well and with a new young body. I’ll love you forever.
Kimberley Gal, one of the grandkids!

To the Boone family,So sorry to hear of your Moms passing.
I have many treasured childhood memories of living next door to your family and Doris being my best friend. Many hrs spent at your home and my most outstanding memory is of ( Mrs. Emmies) calm and cool composure thro all of the comings and goings with her own kids and everyone else who wanted to join them.I also believe she is the last of "Our Parents" that would have attended the little white church next to the parsonage in Seldom.{ I stand to be corrected.} Also, i cannot help but mention my memory of Aunt Bert running for her well worn split to chase Neil, which i might add ,carried absolutely No Threat or Weight except Neils weight on top of the cellar singing"Grandmother can't catch me" which was on repeat every day. Ha !Oh the wonderful memories of another Godly woman that has left us for her heavenly home and has left a Godly heritage to all who knew her.
Love and prayers to all of you!!!

To the Boone Family. So sorry to hear the news of your mom's passing. We knew her for many years in Labrador City and have many fond memories of your father and mother. They were very nice people and she will be missed for sure. May God's peace cover you during the days ahead as you reflect on the fond memories you have of your mother. Absent from the body is present with the Lord and that is the hope she had. God bless.

A branch fell peacefully from your family tree softly whispering: “Don’t grieve for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song, the good life I lived while I was still strong.
My mind is at peace now, my soul is at rest. Remember, all, how truly I was blessed.”

To the family, I had the pleasure of knowing your mom and taking care of her for a few years when she was in Pleasantview manor. She was a very beautiful lady, quiet, gentle, and a very Godly woman. My memories of your mom, we would sit and talk about her family, because she knew that’s how we had a connection to each other, she always said, I was talking to Doris and she asked about you, or I would ask her how everyone was doing. Sometimes before I left her room we sang together, she loved to sing, my last memory was, I visited her at North haven, she looked at me, she said I know you don’t, yes I said, then I told her my name and she said oh yes,I just forgot your name, we talked for a while, then she talked about going home to be with the Lord, she said that it’s going to be a wonderful time, we sang together, the song, when I stand on the streets of gold Jesus face I will then behold, the room was filled with the present of the Lord, she just closed her eyes and sang and she was speaking in a heavenly language, what a beautiful moment that was. Now she is finally home with her love ones that was gone before her, and the one she loved and lived for all her life, her Heavenly Father. No more pain just happiness. I look forward to the time we can all be together again, oh what a time that will be. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. To Marion you are an amazing woman, you spent so much time with her and she always spoke about you and she loved you so much, love and prayers. To Doris, Elizabeth, and of course the rest of the family, my heart is sad with you in the lost of your mom, my thoughts and prayers are with all of you, we will all be together again, and what a beautiful time that will be. Love and prayers, Ruth and Dawson.
