Obituary of Stella Farr

Stella Farr-passed peacefully away at the Lewisporte Health Centre on Friday, December 29, 2023 surrounded by her loving Husband and children.
Stella was born to the late Malcolm and Carrie Burt on March 7, 1942 in Carters Cove where she grew up. She moved to Embree at a very young age to work as a live-in nanny. She married Winston Farr on May 10, 1961 and started their family, together they raised their children. Stella worked in retail for many years. She loved people she was a very social person. Stella was involved in her local church, helping wherever she could. She loved the Lord, this was evident in her everyday life.
In 1995 Stella and Winston Moved to Ontario and worked as superintendents of high-rise condominiums for ten years. They retired in 2005 and moved back to their home in Embree.
Leaving to cherish her memory are her husband Winston; Children, Donna (David) Philpott, Kevin (Michelle), Cavell Rideout, Colleen Farr, Carlton (Wanda) Wheeler; 13 precious grandchildren, Tiffany Bonin (Kevin), Davida (Lucas) Morgan, Billy Bonin, Daniel Philpott (Danielle), Jessica Bonin, Sarah (Jacob) Canning, Lily Foss, Benjamin Farr, Kennedy Farr, Matthew Wheeler, Bradley Wheeler, Jennifer (Dwayne) Pynn and Johnathan (Reese) Wheeler; great grandchildren, Gregory, Jaxson, Lila, Nova, Sage and Maci.
Stella will be lovingly remembered by her brothers, Malcolm, Ivan (Loretta), Lindo (Jane) and Eugene; her sisters Yvonne, Frances Wheeler, Lila (Everett) Jenkins, Gladys Janes (Lyle); sisters-in-law Ruth Rideout and Mable Farr and brother-in-law Clarence Sheppard.
She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son Ross Wheeler; sons-in-law Bill Bonin and Trevor Rideout; her parents-in-law Gordon and Bessie Farr; brothers Levi and Gordon Burt; sisters Margaret Burt, Ethel Burt, Mildred Lovelace; brothers-in-law Ford Rideout, Arthur Wheeler, Heber Farr, Warrick Burt and Aubrey Burt; sisters-in-law Verna Sheppard, Marie Burt and Blanche Burt.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 31st at Glad Tidings Tabernacle in Embree from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place on January 1st, 2024 at 1:00pm with interment to follow at the Community Cemetery in Embree.
As expressions of sympathy donations may be made in her memory to Godly Care Child International (envelopes will be supplied during visitation).
