Obituary of Evelyn Head

It is with sad but thankful hearts that the family of Evelyn Head, of Comfort Cove, announce her passing at Lewisporte Health Centre on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, in her 92nd year.
Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Thomas, parents Caleb and Martha King, sisters Naomi Johnson and Eileen Gattis, and infant twin brothers Cephas and Ephraim.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Karen (Ross Newman), John (Norma), grandchildren: Jessica (Mark Butt), Victoria (Ryan Richmond) and Joshua (Shelly White). Sisters Alma King, Cora Pike, and brothers Ansel and Harrison (Bernice). Special sister-in law and friend Florence Drover, along with many relatives and friends.
The family would like to express a special thank you to her new extended family at Lewisporte Health Care Centre. During her stay the staff treated her with love and affection and we are very appreciative of the care she was given.
Public visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, from 7-9 p.m. at Families Funeral Home, 9 Forward Drive Lewisporte, Thursday, August 25, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Salvation Army Citadel Comfort Cove-Newstead.
The funeral Service will take place at the Salvation Army Citadel in Comfort Cove-Newstead on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 2 p.m. with internment to follow at Bethel United Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to either the Salvation Army Comfort Cove-Newstead or Bethel United Cemetery Fund.
