Nelson Diane & the entire Troake Foss families Summer of 2012 was the last time I got 2 see Ida it was down at the cabin . We sat talked laughed & giggled. She told stories to my girls about me growing up im glad she shared the GOOD ONES. Ida was a beautiful person inside & out caring loving & down right sweet. She loved her kids & just adored her grandkids. The last thing we spoke about was the time one of her grandkids (cant remember which one) drew a beautiful pic for them on the side of their truck with a rock I think she laughed & laughed til she could laugh no more. I wont forget that day ida... that last hug will stay with me forever. Rest in peace sweet lady Xoxo Shelly (Hobbs) & family ♡

The news of the death of my sister has brought great sadness to my heart. I wish that I could be there with you, but you are all in my thoughts and prayers. My heart is in Newfoundland tonight. I have so many wonderful memories of my sister. When I vacationed in Newfoundland I was welcomed by Ida with a big hug and a smile, and a hug and some tears when I left to come back to Ontario. I have great memories of going to Black Island and all the fun and laughter that we had. I will miss her beautiful smile. I am so happy that God chose to make us sisters. No words can heal the pain that we carry in our hearts. My sister is now an Angel watching over all of us. God speed my sweet sister until we meet again. I would like to express my deepest condolences to my Uncle Nelson, Harvey, Maxine, Dorothy, Diane and families. My Aunt Ida had one of the most loving and jovial spirits of anyone that I have ever known. I have many fond memories of her and her family and our vacations together at their cottage on black island. What we all shared there will stay with me forever as some of the best memories of my childhood. I will always remember her infectious laugh and kind nature, it will warm my heart forever. I have such fond memories of my time with Aunt Ida as a child and more recently my trip with my Mother Ruth in 2006. I was so lucky to have spent time with her and am truly blessed to have had her in my life even though it wasn't often, it was always special. We will miss you with all our hearts.
