Obituary of Shirley Walsh

Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family, Shirley Irene Walsh, of Change Islands, at the age of 78 years. 

She leaves to mourn with many loving and precious memories: husband of 61 years, Gordon; children: Linda White (Ed Scammell), Alva (Stewart) Diamond, Boyde (Judy), and Dalphine (David) Edwards; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother Harold (Alice) Cave; and sister-in-law Vella Walsh; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and a large circle of dear friends. Shirley was predeceased by: parents Gerald and Myrtle Cave; sisters: Leah (George) Richards, Loretta Cave; brother Boyde Cave; brothers and sisters -in-law: Fred (Nellie) Walsh, Wavey (Fred) Roberts, and Cyril Walsh.

Visitation will take place on Friday 7-9 PM and Saturday 2-4 PM from Families Funeral Home, Lewisporte.

Following Shirley's wishes, cremation will take place and the funeral will be held on Monday at 1:00 PM from the Salvation Army Church, Change Islands. Majors Colin and Jackie Abbott officiating. Inurnment to follow at the church cemetery, Change Islands.
